I spoke to a prospective new client the other day. She called us after finding our firm on Google. She’s a very nice person and very frustrated. She had just lost a good candidate to a counter offer and needed our help moving forward. It seems that the candidate accepted their job and took a counter offer THE DAY before he was supposed to start their new job! That leads to a two part question:
- Do you have an offer/ counter offer story to share?
- Does your company make counter offers?
I am curious about how many people have experienced both the agony of losing a candidate to a counter offer and the joy of keeping a candidate using a counter offer. Any morality lessons to share?
